This is a PSA. I get mighty frustrated trying to dry my stick straight, overly soft, short hair at Fest. Every day it's a battle to see if the sweat or water will win. I just want to dry my hair and move on, for Goddess sakes! Every year about this time I start searching for cordless hair dryers, and every year I come up short. This year I found one, and it's got great reviews, but it is about $200 and requires a plug in charger that obviously renders it useless for our purposes. However, I *did* find one that runs on a 12 volt battery, for about an hour's worth of total use and only costs $89 for the dryer and the cord to hook it to the battery. Yeah, it's only an hour, but if just used it a few minutes a day, it is PLENTY of juice for the whole week. Anyway, I just thought I'd share the link here for anyone who might want it. (I know I will definitely be giving it a try) I'm sure my wife will be thrilled to carry a car battery all the way to the campsite. Ahem.

I remember someone, it MUST have been HF, suggested that she has used an air mattress pump to blow dry her hair.

Since we're sharing tips for air mattress pumps... I used mine when I had hot flashes. It was divine!

Yeah, I've blown out a couple of pumps that way and they're just not effective. This new gadget is really pretty damn exciting to me.
