My phone app says it is 75 degrees right now. That sounds heavenly.

Ten day forecast from www.wunderground.com (that's "Weather Underground"): Fri 8/3--high 87/low 61, 20% chance of rain Sat 8/4--86/68, 30% chance of rain Sun 8/5--79/59, partly cloudy Mon, 8/6--77/68 Tues, 8/7--81/63 Wed, 8/8--81/57 Thurs, 8/9--79/61 Fri 8/10--82/57 Sat, 8/11--79/68 Sun, 8/12--79/68 Overall, these are comfortable temperatures (especially compared to the 90's and 100's we've had in Chicago and elsewhere this summer). The drought continues, unfortunately, considering the low chances of rain listed.

If you opened this thread to find out what the weather might be like during Festival time, I'll answer that one. EVERYTHING but snow. Come prepared for pouring rain, beating sun, deep mud, deep dry dust, humidity hot and cool. Over the years there's been less extreme cold at night (though I remember 38 degrees, see-your-breath mornings), but even at less extreme temperatures, sitting still at Night Stage you'll want to bundle up. Typically, there's not much in between. You may start the morning in long sleeves, fleece jacket, long pants, wool socks, and by ten am be down to shorts, sandals, and tank top. At dusk, you go back to bundling up. I always take and use my merino-wool long underwear, top and bottoms, and at least one wool sweater (I have a nice thrift-shop cashmere pullover), gloves, a cap, wool socks. Folding umbrella. Footwear suitable for big rain.
Festival is fabulous, but we don't go in order to experience the weather! Now the stars..... that's special. Milky Way like a big stripe, shooting stars, I've even seen pale Northern Lights.

The stars should be particularly clear this year as this is the week of the 'new moon' - Unfortunately that also means cooler nights and higher possibility of rain.
