We're doing it again! Bring your instrument (and voices) and join us on Tuesday afternoon. We'll be playing all kinds of music. All levels welcome. Some music and instruction will be provided.

What songs do you want to do?

In case you want to jam after the festival, I'm running a women's music camp in New Hampshire in September. It'll be big fun y'all.

Loosh2, a little Pete Seeger would be awesome.

Jellylady, toe tappers are welcome. You might even find yourself singing along. :)

Garden Song...

nch by inch, row by row
Gonna make this garden grow
All it takes is a rake and a hoe
And a piece of fertile ground

Inch by inch, row by row
Someone bless these seeds I sow
Someone warm them from below
Till the rain comes tumblin' down

Pullin' weeds and pickin' stones
Man is made of dreams and bones
Feel the need to grow my own
'Cause the time is close at hand

Rainful rain, sun and rain
Find my way in nature's chain
Tune my body and my brain
To the music from the land

Plant your rows straight and long
Temper them with prayer and song
Mother Earth will make you strong
If you give her love and care

Old crow watchin' hungrily
From his perch in yonder tree
In my garden I'm as free
As that feathered thief up there

Inch by inch, row by row
Gonna make this garden grow
All it takes is a rake and a hoe
And a piece of fertile ground

An inch by inch, row by row
Someone bless these seeds I sow
Someone warm them from below
Till the rain comes tumblin' down

I unfortunately can't make the jam since I have a prescheduled conflict. However, I wonder if anyone could do me a big favor and be able to bring a guitar to fest for me to play on during the week? I can't bring mine on the plane with the rest of my gear, and I hope someone who is driving may be willing and able to loan me one. I expect to spend large portions of my days in DART and it would be so awesome to be able to have a guitar to entertain myself there by the DART fire pit.

Please respond if you can help me out or if you don't know who I am & would need character references.
Thanks, Aradia

Everyone is welcome at the jam! Singers, that means you too. Bring your instrument - any instrument, any level. I mean it. Even if you know only one guitar chord, join us. We'll make sure to include that one chord and you can play it every time it comes around.

Optional things to bring:
music stand
music to share - bring 5 or more copies - simple, with only a few chords

Chairs are provided as is a piano.

I will bring sheet music - words and chords - lots of different styles.

I'm bringing sheet music for these songs. If there's something you want to play, please bring 5-10 copies to share with everyone. Remember to keep it simple - songs with just a few chords are best.

Ain't No Sunshine
Amazon
Angelina the Baker
Brown Eyed Girl
Closer to Fine
Down at the Twist and Shout
Down by the Riverside
Fix You
Good Riddance
Hound Dog
I Heard it Through the Grapevine
It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels
Orphan Girl
Paradise
Proud Mary
Rhiannon
Where Have All the Flowers Gone
You're So Vain
Will the Circle Be Unbroken

We had an awesome time! Thanks so much to all the great musicians who joined us, even if you could only stay a short while. Let's do it again next year!

If you want to jam some more, I'm organizing a music camp next month, Women and Harmony. We'll have lots of jams. Workshops, too. For all levels. I don't care if you only know one chord. More here: http://harmonyandwomen.wordpress.com/
