In conjunction with the Brooklyn Michfest Mixer happening May 5th in Brooklyn, I have set up a paypal account to receive donations for raffle ticket entries. We will be holding a raffle at this event and giving away at least one 2013 Michfest ticket.

Even if you can’t be with us in Brooklyn, you can still enter to win.

Even if you can’t come to Fest this year, you can still help us get other womyn there.

Each $10 donation will provide one entry into the ticket give away raffle. Here are the instructions:
Go to Paypal and set up a free account, if you don’t already have one. Then click on the Send Money tab, enter my email address which is artemis at pipeline dot com (replacing the at and the dot with the appropriate symbols of course!), enter the amount you can give, in multiples of $10, click the “I’m sending money to family and friends” button and follow the prompts.
After your donation is sent, send ME an email to the same email address telling me how much you contributed and your legal name, (the name on your ID), because if you win, that is the name your ticket will be held under at the Michfest box office.

CUT-OFF FOR ENTRIES IS MAY 4TH! With their permission, I will post the winner(s) names here after the party. ALL paypal contributions received in this manner will go toward getting womyn to fest. Any residual paypal proceeds that don’t cover the price of a complete ticket will be, in turn, used to support other womyn's efforts to get womyn to fest or sent to the Michfest office to help defray the costs of the limited income tickets they give out.

It is understandable if you don’t have it to give, but last year a festie virgin won the raffle ticket.. I saw her at Fest late in the week, walking down the middle of Lois Lane with a guitar slung across her back. It was an awesome sight. Please be as generous as you can, either by giving yourself, encouraging others to come to the event (see the separate thread for details), reposting on your respective facebook pages etc, whatevs. All help with getting womyn to Fest is appreciated! As an aside, the music hall is now officially called the Prospect Range and has an online presence <que the refrain.. Deeeep in the heart of Brooklyn, clap, clap, clap clap!>. I love this old-timey image of my block and my house circa the 30's.. My house was built in 1890 and stands next to the storefront.

Hi jesfest! The raffle winner for the 2013 ticket went to Suzanne D, a festie virgin LAST year and she couldn't be more excited to be going again this year. Her friends put her name on all the raffle tickets they bought.

A big big thank you, and all the others who sent entries via paypal, for participating and I am sorry we aren't yet able to raise enough funds to give more tickets away. I hope Anna finds a way to get herself to fest.

Another way to support the festival is to buy raffle tickets on the land. Look for them working the line on monday and at all the stages and main kitchen for your chance to win Ooh Ahh FABulous Prizes!
