surgem here. was wondering why my post of about a month and a half ago is no longer in the forum. there were other posts deleted as well. i had said i was looking for a ride from west central florida, hudson to be exact. which comes to you, rosierain. i believe we know each other from chorus, although i am no longer a member. so i guess you want e-mail contact. will do...so glad someone is going from my area. i havent been in such a long time.

about this time of year every year, LucilleDesign trims out the previous year's discussion forum and makes a new discussion forum (if she didn't do this, the forum would get overhuge). So, you're not alone in your post disappearing.
The thing to do is start a new topic in this forum, best if it is titled Seeking ride from XXXX location or something like that. With the rideshare posts, many womyn only look at the ones that say a specific place. If you use something generic like "seeking a ride" or such, it might not get as many womyn.
Hope this is helpful .. . and that you come up with great rideshare buddies. . .and that you have a marvelous time at fest!

I am looking to find/share a ride with someone. I live in CT. I didnt see anything in your post about transportation (this year) Lots of posts to read.... Is this still your objective?

solving the getting to land issue..

1.lets all list where we need rides from...
2. use Mapquest route out where our pick up needs, are then contact a bus company for price...
3. post on bb & fb what you found out & go from there...

well as the leaves leave the trees & we settle down for the fall/winter, this is a great time to start working together on How to get MORE WIMMIN TO LAND...

by coming together now we can make routes for a transporation system that will allow more wimmin to afford the trek to land....

by looking at our travel needs now.... we can come up with bulk air fares,bulk train fares & arrange buses to get us to land...

with the Countdown to Festival: 208 days, 13 hours, 59 minutes, and 21 seconds away,this would be a great time to start talking about travel plans & how we can afford to make the trek back HOME...

im willing to put $700 towards a transportation system... because i was given the gift of land & this is my payback to honor the sisters who helped me find FREEDOM....

Here is a working layout of How You Can Be the WOW in Wimmin On Wheels...

Wimmin On Wheels...is looking for wimmin who looking for more affordale ways to get home each Aug while helping bring more wimmin to land making room for our gear....

a. through several sub projects: we can raise funds to help pay for the transport system & even have the project payed for by July...

b. by networking our travel ticket needs: we can check into buying bulk tickets from a womyn travel agent, for those who need travel on air,train, or bus would get better rates on travel tickets...

c. car/rv rentals... could be set up ahead of time giving wimmin more affordable car/rv rents/rv shares

1 WOW needs wimmin who would like to work on getting to land at a more affordable rate...

2. by mapping out routes that wimmin are using we can come up with a route or routes that will help those who need rides from pick up points .... by pin point a need for transportation we can contact charter bus companies in these needed areas...

3 networking through facebook chat calls & set up a page for the project we could host potlucks ,house concerts & michfest parties...

4 saving cans can be a great way to help cover the cost of the buses ...this "free money" would be used to pay for the bus with inturn would lower every sisters seat price.... *this will also show how important recycling is & give us a project that will give us inner pride of saying Yes We Can Get to Michigan....

5 a paypal system could be set up or we could make a deal with the bus company for moneys to go right to them ...

6.im willing to put $700.00 towards a depsoit (this is *my michfest money for michfet 38*

7.by working together we could make routes affordable pleanty of under bus & over head storage so you would have room for your gear,beer & bacon....

8.Wimmin On Wheels will need wimmin to help be cords in their states ...you would help wimmin find out about the womyn to land project & be the contact person or your area....

9. by using a bus system many have perks like wifi,kneel down steps & raido,tv dvd pa....

10 .this would be a great way for a performer to do a rolling concert & sell her cds before we reach land...

so if you are a performer looking for trasnportation to land why not WOW sisters as we roll interstate wide with your talent of comedy ,music & song....

this is also a great ways to meet land wimmin off land this will be a great way to pre bond with wimmin who also love the land....

if you look at these route you can see that the time on the bus isnt that long & this will help keep the rates of the route down...

stops can be place in several locations along the route near the on/off ramps with the help of each of you we can pin point stops that would be easy for you as the rider ...

(so if you are in this area or have driven it any helpful tips would be nice)

this time is now to start saving your drink cans to help cover the price of the bus system... (* which will be round trip)

you may say: "well my bag of cans wont make a big diff ",well do know it Will ...
the one thing learned from my workshift in recycling, from sorting cans that say 5 or 10 cents the fest is bringing more cash for the fest by using this "free money" to help keep fest going ...

all cash helps keep our sister space alive....so why not use that same recycling land lesson ...to get back to those paths in hart where our hearts beat with hot aug pride....

having wimmin become local /state cords would help network sisters & information to wimmin who would want to use this transportation to land...

while huggin those who teach ya so much ....so on the bus ya go with those show & tell items ya just cant wait to share & re look at those pics... as we leave the land the dust behind

these are the moments that pull us through on those cold winters & keeps our sister sap searching for that just right out fit... waiting for spring when we can pack ..& re pack several times for that Wonder Womon's Week in the woods....

Wimmin On Wheels is more than transportation, it's a way to bond Our Sisterhood together off land,while meeting our FB sisters in safe places...
