1. This thread is all about random and/or boring things.
2. You post 10 things. Or 4 things. Or even 13 things. It really doesn't matter.
3. Please talk about yourself. Or don't. Up to you. :)
4. I have two dogs, a cat, a 40 gallon fish tank, and two hermit crabs.
5. See how easy that was?? :)
6. The sun peeking through the dense fog this morning was stunning!!
7. Lucilledesign rocks my world. :) And I always do what I'm told, which is why I'm starting this thread even though I've been absent a bunch lately.
8. I still love you all. NOT random. OR boring. Just true...
9. AMY RAY. Swoooooooon!!!
10. Now you try. :)
11. We try very hard to be polite towards one another in this section because we like things all nicey-nice.
12. I can't wait for August!!!

Hola, Corazon.
1- Long time no "see." Miss you.
2- The crocus are up in my yard, little yellow ones about to open!
3- The triplet grambabies are doing well, having formal evals for autism spectrum issues... They're now 4.25 years old.
4- They like to add "... you're a girl..." to every comment they make, esp to newcomers. Haven't gotten to the you-have-a-vagina comments yet, but I see it coming!
5- My sweet Papa passed away last Tuesday. We were all with him. It was heartbreaking and yet good at the same time. He lived a rich 79 years on the Earth. I miss him.
6- I am looking for cross-country ski boots. I went for the first time in January and it was rilly fun!!!
7- Been too long since spoke with any 'yalls. Good to see you on FB from time to time.
8- It's about 60 degrees here today, last day of Feb.
9- Thinkin' 'bout adding on to my house, to make it a family compound and consolidate.
10- I hope to come to fest this year, and stay in RV land.
Love to All.

4. my beautiful 15 year old cat died 4 weeks ago and I still miss him so much

6. hoping to get to Michigan this year.
7. wondering if I should buy a sleeping mat here or wait till I get to the US (where everything is SO much cheaper)
8. I don't know who most of the performers are but know I will still love them
9. running out of random things to say

9. My partner just made me the sweetest little supper. I love her. <3
10. It was so easy to find this 10 Random/Boring things. I didn't even have to look for it, lol.

I had to go back and add something...

Amanda just brought the mail in. There was a package for me from someone whose name I didn't recognize. (I don't know some festie's last names, lol). It was from Michigan. In the package was organic coffee, a beautiful candle, heart candies, a sweet note and soft brown socks. The envelope with the note in it had a drawing of a butterfly so then I knew it must be from a fest sister. Anyway, it was from one of my DART fest sisters and it meant so much. And THAT is fest majick. Because I needed it so much today. And I just let the tears out. Amanda understands and yet she doesn't. She's never truly "gotten" fest. But she knows I needed it today.

But you get it.

Buy clown fish!! That's what we did. They won't eat the really big snails (unless they are really big fish), but they will eat any babies that arrive. Snails don't need another snail to reproduce, so your tank can easily be overcome with babies. We learned that the hard way when I asked to add a snail to the tank "because it was sooooo cute!" We are almost 100% eradicated now. Whew!

YAY for new and old friends coming back to the thread! :)

HF - I've tried!!! I've been through 5 clown loaches (not all at the same time)... they don't like my aquarium. I think it's just too small for them (it's only 5.5 gallons). First I tried one. When it died, the pet store people told me they were schooling fish and might have been stressed alone, so I tried 3 at a time... but that didn't work either. The longest I can keep them alive is about 3 weeks... (and they cost a lot... so I'm done with killing loaches for awhile)... the snails and I are making friends (so long as they don't entirely eat up my plant life!).... I'm mostly just paranoid that they'll starve my plecostomus.... my little "grump" needs some detritus to munch on!

1). Of course I had to drop in and check out the new BB. Nice job, LD!!

2). Nothing much going on here. Working, breathing deeply, loving life.

3). We are moving at the end of this month to a much bigger apartment. I've been at the current place for over three years and I have a lot of memories wrapped up in it. Many good but most bad.
Its time to move to a different place. Make a fresh start.

4). I love my job. Have I mentioned that before?

5). I am escorting this Saturday and dreading it because we are in the middle of the "40 Days" protest. Lots of new people coming out just to yell at and demean women. It's a bit depressing.

6). But..... The day will get better because we are going to sex trivia Saturday night!! My entire health center is going and wearing our "I loved sex ed" shirts.

7). I have a lot going on. Not physically but mentally. I have a lot of old hurts and emotions to wade through and deal with.
I thought the 'bottle it all up' method would work forever, but alas. Time to work through it all, I guess.

8) whoops, just had a patient walk in. Time to go.

1. Love the new digs. Thanks so much LD!

2. I have been spending far too much time alone these days. My roomie moved out and my housemates are all away, so all my free time is at home alone. This has been both healing and BORING! I need to get out and have some fun.

3. So I think I will! I will be heading out this Saturday night to go dancing. Very excited. I wish my festie friends were nearby to come too!

4. Speaking of which......I went out west to Seattle just over a month ago to visit the illustrious Scout, Aunti Laura, her fabulous partner S (who I am not too sure if she has a board name here so will just call her S), L-Boy and L-Girl. I had such a great time!

5.And Seattle is freaking gorgeous! I can understand why they all moved there. It almost makes me want to become a west coast person. However, the east coast - i.e. PEI - is so firmly rooted in the core of my being that I doubt I could move that far from it.

6. Good thing I have another week of vacation time I need to use up before the end of April. I am heading back to Seattle - this time for a whole 8 days - and will get to hang with all those wonderful women again!

7. And I am sure we will be engaging in some interesting activities. You know - like knitting, sewing, maybe a bit of macrame. Good, wholesome fun. Right?

8. This winter has rocked! Almost no snow, temperatures close to freezing but not too cold, many days of bright sunny skies. I wish every winter could be like this! It has been a welcome reprieve from the snowy winters of the last 3 years. Also, my bank account is thankful for it. We have electric heat, which is SO expensive.

9. I miss Sparky. I miss going to Sparkytown and seeing her smiling face. Around this time of year for the last three years, I would be making plans to go to the Sparkytown Fest fundraiser. It saddens me that this won't happen now :(. Also, I really just miss knowing Sparky is on this planet being the beautiful soul she was. I am happy they have carried on her name in Syracuse.

10. So I have lost 75 lbs so far since last fest. The best part of this is that I am looking forward to buying FUN clothes to wear at Fest this year. Hello, funky shorts! I have always been limited in my apparel wear by my size, so now that I can buy "off the rack" it has opened up a whole new world for me. I am so grateful for this.

11. (because I am a rebel and need to go past 10)

12. I am also looking forward to how much easier mobility on the land should be for me, having lost so much weight. Don't get me wrong - I am still a big grrl, but my weight is still dropping and I am in such better physical shape. YAY!

13. V <3

14. Love you all!
