Just so y'all know....the whole reason we are doing the RV thing is that hike back from the zone last year was a bitch and I am never doing that again! And I am tired of missing all the fun, so Dart RV it will be. As long as you can assure me that "Hell's Kitchen" or it's equivalent is still going to be in the zone???????

Hey friends. 1- Going to Bloomington IN soon to visit my dad's widow. 2- Robins have appeared here, first appearing on 3/7/12 in northern IN. 3- My Aunt Carol is the coolest. She works wood, fixes up old cars, she can do anything. I want to be like her when I grow up. 4- The triplets went to see The Lorax last weekend with their auntie. When they came out of the theatre into the parking lot, Charlotte opened her hands wide and said, "Where did all the trees go?" On the drive home she exclaimed, "There's some trees! We can help. We can plant trees!" 5- I love those baby girls, and their little sister, who looks like Me, I am told! 6- I miss you womyns. 7- Only have computer at work. Pondering purchase and home access... big money and time wastage I fears. 8- Weekend project: dog residue removal (a winter's worth) -- I plan on having fun with it. Fortunately I can just fling it over the fence. Yaaay. 9- Don't forget to set clocks ahead an hour at bedtime Saturday! 10- One of my physicians just came in and said "10 Random and Boring Things, eh?" Yep, it sure is! Love every one of yas. ~indijeny

Apparently all Canadians take spring break at the same time. And every one and their mother in Ontario flies out of Detroit. Which means our hotel is FULL of Canadians tonight. They were mostly legit. Stupid busy night though. Blech.
ooooh! In more exciting work news...you may remember I came home from Fest last year and then had a hotel full of Jehovah's Witnesses...worst re-entry ever lolol HOWEVER, because fest is later this year, their convention will be DURING fest which means I don't have to deal with them YAY!

try flying ANYWHERE from canada and you'll soon understand why they all cross the boarder to detroit to fly! The cost of flying in canada is astronomical compared to the US. Living in montreal, a metropolis with a huge airport, I still end up taking a 2.5 hr greyhound across the boarder to little burlington vermont whenever I need to fly... it saves 300-400 on any typical flight cost!
hopefully the night will look up soon though!!!

1. visiting my mom this weekend 2. she's been going through a really bad rough patch health-wise, but is doing a bit better this week (yay!) 3. it's snowing out... 4. but tomorrow it's supposed to go up to 10C! yay! 5. That probably sounds cold to americans... 6. I saw the first green shoot poke it's head out of the ground this week! 7. which is impressive, since most of montreal is still under a foot or two of snow... 8. either the building producing flowers (and strangely devoid of snow) was overheated or under insulated (or both) 9. last night, I picked up my mom's kitten to keep him from chewing computer wires, and he panicked, twisted in the air, and attached himself to my face like an octopus (claws wrapped around my head) - too fast for me to react and put him down - not my favourite moment with the cat... those scratches hurt 10. I've spent my whole life around cats - but I have to say - that was *really* scary - I cried afterward - but probably more because I was already upset about other stuff - and because I was a bit shocked to be attacked in such a vulnerable way by a kitten I've always gotten along well with.

10. boring fact about me, i have bad agita....really bad today, forgot to take my meds this am.
9. got an invite to the midway Santa Cruz gathering.. i miss V
8. anyone in the bay area want to commute to the midway with me?
7. tryng to get a new design of a website built and the client keeps changing her mind. now i need to remember is is always about making the client happy. so what if i have to go back to the drawing board for awhile.
6. are any of my boring sisters totally alienated from their blood siblings? sometimes i find it a strain to have such animosity amongst us. some better than others but still, it is not like in the movies. is that not how the relationships are supposed to be?
5. got my puppy snipped last week. he is going nutz with cabin fever. gonna try to see if he can go to the puppy social tomorrow, and not hurt himself. the stitches are still there.
4. Dont forget to change your clocks tonite... we lose an hour tomorrow but gain sun. I am ok with this trade off. I hate it when i am working into the dark.
3. The dog/housesitter i was going to use while i go to fest has decided that she was giving me too good a deal and has upped the price by $150. Just when i thought i was so close. Now i need just a wee bit more to cover my expenses. maybe i should meet with her and make sure it is going to be a good match. She is still cheaper than the going rate. Maybe i should start a new career.
2. Have been spending too much time in bed alone lately. It is a sign of depression for me and one i need to watch. I am under quite a bit of stress so it does not surprise me, but i need to watch it, it can become quite severe for me at times.
The number ONE most boring thing about me for right now is that i am still just going patches and Ecigarettes. Have gotten off cigarettes now i just need to get off nicotine as well.
Love you V and Bruno and i hope to see you both soon. I keep looking.

1). Trixie, I'm impressed by your posting dedication.
2). Red, your quilt is amazing! I love seeing it come together.
3). LD, sorry to hear about your ankle. Be careful!
4). Scout, sorry the job is going as well as hoped. Maybe it will evolve into something better over time, and this shitty part is just a way of preparing you for something better? One can only hope.
5). I have been sick for over a week and it's driving me crazy. It started out as a cold/stomach flu/sinus infection combo(something I hope to never experience again) but now I just can't shake the cold part. I can't lie down because my throat blocks up and I can't stop coughing. Very annoying.
6). Confession time: I am a lifelong nail biter. And I am trying desperately to quit. Any suggestions?
7). I went to goodwill yesterday and bought three sundresses! I'm sooooooo looking forward to the heat of summer.
8). I love the new BB.
9). We had the weirdest experience Friday. There is a small LGBT coffeehouse in our new neighborhood. Nekkid pics on the wall, gay magazines, and lots of people like us. So we went there to have coffee and read on Friday, and they had been overrun by a church. Some guy was on stage preaching, and the whole place was full of xtians. It felt weird to see old ladies sitting next to the picture of a hot girl in a corset, holding their bibles and praising the jeexus. We can't quite figure out if thecoffeehouse is broke and had to rent out the space to make money or if they've had a religious conversion.

1. Hello Wonderful Womyn of the BB!
2. Scout, I would love to see more of you at Fest! Will happily supply you with coffee!
3. LD, Enjoy the Midway party, wish I was closer! Will happily give you a tour of RV. I know where to find Red, Sax, HF and a whole bunch of other fantastic womyn!
4. Amber, we rock in RV! It's the place to be. Although meals in the kitchen can be tricky. We rarely make it to the kitchen more than once a day so you may want to plan extra meals at your camp.....
5. We are in the middle of a huge sale at work.... The crew is working 10 hour day's which means that I am working 12 hour days..... it's going to be a long 2 weeks!
6. aler58, hey! How are you doing?
7. I'm eating my lunch now.... yes it's 8am and I was starving.
8. I have a new office at work. I can look out the windows and watch everything! It's great!
9. Trixie, yeah for JW being at the hotel when you aren't!
10. I have a ton of laundry and cleaning to do at home..... nothing productive was accomplished in my house yesterday! Yeah for PJ day!
13. V and Bruno.

Trying to keep up here. Damn, y'all are chatty. Weird about the coffeehouse, Phoenix. I would've loved a photo of the older lady next to the picture of the woman in a corset. Clover: It would be great for you to join us! I'm like you, I forget how much I love playing music. I play every day with students and when preparing for a tour but it's not the same thing. The other day I got out my dulcimer for the first time and really had fun with it. Thanks, Clover and HF, for encouraging me to post links to my blog. I'm actually taking this month off since I'm working so much on my book but after a year and a half of weekly blogs, there's a lot in my archives. Take a gander if you're so inclined: www.jamiebobamie.wordpress.com1. I hate Greek yogurt. Too thick and uggy. Yes, uggy is a word. I think. 2. I love Glee and I don't know why. Usually I can't suspend disbelief long enough to enjoy musicals. 3. I'm currently writing about Alix Dobkin for my women's music book. It's fun and fairly easy since I can use her autobiography ( My Red Blood - which, BTW, is very good) and an interview as resources. 4. Some artists aren't quite as public and it's harder to find info about them. 5. Artists love to talk about themselves so once I do get an interview, it's really fun. I mean that sincerely. I ask a few questions and just let them talk. 6. I am struggling to learn French. Learning a language in middle age is HARD. 7. It's raining here. 8. The huge mound of ice that's been in our driveway for three months is finally melting! 9. I can verify how expensive airfare is from Canada to the states. It's a flight I take a couple of times a year. Back when I lived in the states I could fly from one US coast to another US coast for half the price that it took me to make one lousy little flight from NC to Ontario. 10. I'm not only looking forward to Michigan but I'm going to National this year. Yay! Not only is the line-up good but they're presenting a live performance of Kay Gardner's A Rainbow Path! www.wiaonline.org if you wanna know more
