The festival is an inspiring place so why not bring back the goose's thread and post some inspirational thoughts here as well. Please contribute when and if you ever feel so moved.
"Impetuous me favors the passionate tumult of Spring river flooding. Sensuous me favors the indolent caress of Summer river flowing. Reflective me favors the penetrating seep of Autumn river trickling. Even aloof shy me favors the chilled reserve of Winter river freezing. But, all of me resists evaporation.
I resist the sucking pulling warm air wresting me from known boundaries. I resist drifting unseen to unknown parts. I resist the uncertainty of unformed floating yearning rather to surround rocks, carve new paths. I resist the ambiguous foggy drift. But luckily, at times, I am yanked into air. There
beholding Earth's anguish: Weep! Weeping, raining, puddling...perhaps the beginning of an exuberant Spring.:" Simone Campbell (who rides the bus)
"...be humble, but not submissive. Rooted in a solid sense of ourselves, but not self-righteous; truthful, but gentle and absolutely fearless." Pat Farrell
"They can crush a few flowers but they cannot hold back the spring." Chilean saying
"90 % of life is just showing up." Woody Allen (?)

"If my critics saw me walking over the Thames they would have said it was because I couldn't swim." Margret Thatcher (i wouldn't have voted for her, but there's plenty of universal truth in what's she saying and she did have a great sense of humor and lots of personal strength/conviction. R.I.P., Iron Lady)

Not a quote; i just like the song and the graphic slightly reminds me of the festival. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9CmUodjYuE(sorry, i couldn't find a version not starting with an advert; and if the male backing vocal here is a problem, i'll pull the link.)

"They hear it come out, but they don't know how it got there. They don't understand that's life's way of talking. You don't sing to feel better. You sing because that's a way of understanding life." Ma Rainey

These are all great! Keep 'em coming! And here's mine for today:
"Awareness is the key. Do we see the stories that we're telling ourselves and question their validity? When we are distracted by strong emotion, do we remember that it is our path? Can we feel the emotion and breathe it into our hearts for ourselves and everyone else? If we can remember to experiment like this even occasionally, we are training as a warrior. And when we can't practice when distracted but KNOW that we can't, we are still training well. Never underestimate the power of compassionately recognizing what's going on." ~ Pema Chodron

"DIVINE WILL"
When we are no longer motivated by fear, we also understand that every moment is perfect in its own way. We no longer dread that which we can't control, and we learn to respect the wisdom of Spirit rather than impose our will on situations. This is the path of genuine power".

(maybe it wasn't a good day when i learned one can post links onto the bb) My computer always opens this site on the performance page, so I'm posting the first link in case it was taken down from the Website. I like the second link as a compliment because it highlights "regular" folk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&featu ... t3X6Xdrbukhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=db9GKGqLWRs"Being a strong leader means being respectful of everyone. It does not mean being tolerant of every behavior" anon.
