This list was driving me nuts being out of order! So here it is in chronological order. Performers are listed in alphabetical order (iTunes style, that is, by first letter of first name). I noted which stage they were on, if I knew: Night Stage (NS), Day Stage (DS), Acoustic Stage (AC), or Comedy Stage (CS). 1st Michfest, August 20-22, 1976 (Mt. Pleasant)Andrea Weltman Be Be K'Roche Holly Near Margie Adam Maxine Feldman Meg Christian Sally Piano Tui (Linda Tillery) Willie Tyson 2nd Michfest: August 25-28, 1977 (Hesperia)This is cobbled together from http://www.queermusicheritage.us/wmf-michigan.html If anyone can verify this info, it would be much appreciated. Alive! Alix Dobkin Casse Culver and the Belle Star Band Cathy Winter and Betsy Rose Ginni Clemmens Izquierda Kay Gardner Margie Adam Maxine Feldman Meg Christian Sally Piano Sweet Honey in the Rock Therese Edell Willie Tyson These were in photos but not in the article. Does anyone know if they were actually on the bill? Jerene Jackson Robin McFiddle Mac Donald Petra Hall Rita Coriell Teresa Trull 3rd Michfest: August 17-20, 1978 (Hesperia)Alive! Hydra Izquierda Jerene Jackson Big Band (17 pieces!) Linda Shear (for lesbians & womyn children only) Linda Tillery & Bank Liz Thorson Loree Gold & Barbara Cobb Meg Christian & Teresa Trull Michele Rosewoman Robin Flower & Joan Balter Sirani Avedis (Sally Piano) Sweet Honey in the Rock Therese Edell Woody Simmons, with Christing Bagley & Debbie Saunders Note #1: according to Paid My Dues mag, Margie Adam was scheduled to play but cancelled on short notice. Brite City Lights and Elizabeth Fides played in her place. Note #2: The sliding scale at the gate for 4 days was $24 to $36. And Sirani Avedis' name is on the treano logo; not sure if she designed it or just did the stunning watercolor version of it that's on the poster. 4th Michfest: August 23-26, 1979 (Hesperia)Alix Dobkin Berkeley Women’s Music Collective Diane Zimmerman Gwen Avery Holly Near and J.T. Thomas Linda Shear Missy Speerl Rashida Shah Reel World String Band Robin Greenstein Sirani Avedis and Kid Sister Teresa Trull and Julie Homi Terry Garthwaite The Harp Band Woody Simmons 5th Michfest, August 14-17, 1980 (Hesperia)Again, culled from an article. If anyone finds a flyer from back then, this should be updated. Alix Dobkin Breakwater Chevere Deuce Linda Tillery Band Margie Adam Mary Watkins Trio Maxine Feldman Ova Robin Flower & Nancy Vogl Sirani Avedis Teresa Trull & Julie Homi Terry Garthwaite Therese Edell Sliding scale for the full fest (four days) back then was $32-$48 in advance, or up to $56 at the gate. :)
