This thread has been woefully neglected by me..
I hope at least a few of you were at Toshi Reagon’s Word Rock Sword festivities last week. I missed the kick off Sunday Salon, but I caught Elvira at Joe’s Pub Monday and the Saturday night concert at Le Poisson Rouge was AWESOME! I love Judith Casselberry!!! She led all the artists and the audience in a JUMPING version of Amazon Womyn Rise. All the artists were great. Toshi did a fantastic job pulling together all these wonderful artists from around the country and no one fell down this year, haa!
Allison Miller is playing with Jeff Lederer at a tiny place near my house tonight and I think I will walk over and check her out. http://www.littleimusic.com/?section=bio

Also for all you spiritual types, the Blessing Band will again be leading the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade on Oct 31st. We got knocked out by Sandy last year and the parade was cancelled, but we are organizing ourselves for 2013 and I predict the weather will be merciful to us.. All you need to do is wear white, show up on time and have an interest in blessing the people of NYC. This is a unique and fun spiritual experience, one that money can’t buy.
What else womyn?
