I'm putting together a discussion group about womyn's land end of July. Would be great to meet you at home in Cali before heading out to Michigan. (This year my partner and I are going to mich fest for the first time!)
All women are invited....whether you can't make it to m-fest this year, or if you can. Only requirement is showing up in Oakland with your lovely presence.
Date is probably July 27th. Am waiting to hear back from the room reservation. There will be:
--screening of clips from Miriam Fougere's "Lesbiana: A Parallel Revolution" (The filmmaker has given permission)
--a copy of the Shewolf directory to pass around
--tea, coffee, snacks
Theme: Womyn's Land Past, Present, and Future.
We'll talk about YOUR experiences of land, intentional communities, where womens spaces have come from and where they are going........and anything you want to bring to the discussion.
Copy and paste this ad, email it to the California women in your life. I'm happy to answer questions via facebook or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
You don't have to specifically be interested in living on womyn's land to come. The meetup will be a warm community environment. Chance to meet new people.
If you have any leads on individuals, groups, forums, or your own friends who I should contact, please let me know.
I'm passionate about this. Work and life have slowed down advertising, but it's still gonna happen this month!
Much gratitude to Michigan and Oakland, CA.........
