Some other posters mentioned that you can rent tents from camping goods stores such as REI. I'm less sure about sleeping bags, etc, but others may chime in with useful info for you.
Fantastic-Australia! I drummed with some womyn from Australia at a fest workshop last year.

A few years back I brought some gear for a couple of womyn. I actually bought it new, sleeping bags, chairs, tarps. I toted it to fest and once there was told they made other arrangements. I still have the gear, so contact me at d g i l n h 2 o @ gmail dot com and I will bring what gear I have on hand. It is no longer new, but it is clean and I am willing to lend it, the only expectation I have is you would take care of it.

Just letting all the womyn know i will be serving hot breakfast and lunch items up and down the road 5:30a.m. until the gate opens. For details on menu and what to look for go to questions or pre fest food. Thank you.

REI I don't know where you are flying into, but check out REI. in michigan there are 3 rei stores and a couple in chicago. all have tents and sleeping bags for rent, along with other things. you have to contact the store to see what they have and reserve it ahead of time. i don't know about prices, but they do keep their gear in good order. go to http://www.rei.com/stores/rentals.html
