RV camping questions-rules, tips, procedures?

Hi, I haven't seen anything about RV camping here other than "what to bring" yet so figured I would ask.
I was wondering if you can put out fake grass mat or rug under the awning space? I did wish to delete this thread but then got to thinking that this might fit for RV questions other than "what to bring" so guess I am leaving it.
