I pack one pair, wear one pair. I wear my Merrell sandals and bring my 'surfer mocs' for rainy wet days. These are great - they dry fast & are light weight. I can wear heavy sox with my sandals for night stage when I need to have warm feet. What is your favorite footware for fest ??

Low top Keens and high top Keens (both closed, I don't do sandals on the Land, those wood chips and dirt get in there and annoy me) and a pair of flipflops for the shower.

Socks. It may look dorky, but socks keep the wood chips, dust, dirt, etc etc at bay. With Teva sandals, or hiking boots (I'm older and value solid support). I pack a clean pair of socks and underpants in my day bag: sometimes I don't have time for a thorough wash, but just do a quick shower rinse and the clean socks and unders and go from sweaty and dusty to feeling quite fresh and clean. And even though it's hot out, I often wear SmartWool hiking socks: the wool is absorbent, cushiony, and, left to dry overnight, can be worn several times. Taking double numbers of socks and unders scarcely adds to the packing space.
