Kalamazoo, Monday to Monday

Would anyone like to ride with me from the Kalamazoo area up to Fest? I'm a festie virgin and would love the company. I'll be going up Monday morning or afternoon (I'm flexible) and returning the following Monday morning. I can fit one or two passengers depending on how much gear you have. I just happened upon your post after searching for "Kalamazoo" to see if there were any other fest womyn on the forums who live around here. Did you ever find a ride? I was GOING to be a festie virgin this past year, even saved up the money, and then I realized I needed to leave my husband and start a new life (I only just came out to myself at the end of May this year!), so I kinda needed the $$ to do that. I'm going to start saving up now for 2010, though, and hopefully by then... Anyway, just wanted to connect with another Kalamazonian. ;)

Hi Kriann, welcome! :-) I hear ya... I just came out (well, re-came out... long story...) this year, too, and going to Fest was one of the first things I did for myself after leaving. So I hope you make it next summer, 'cause it was totally the right thing to do for myself. I can't wait to go again.

I actually live in the Chicago area now, but I grew up in K'zoo and my parents still live there, so I was using it as my base of operations (i.e., dogsitting, laundry, and a good shower) for Fest. I've seen a few other Kalamazooans online, though, and I know there were a bunch at Fest, though I did end up driving myself for the sake of convenience.
