The client site I am on where I just hosed up their database just offered me a 6 figure job that would let me commute from SEattle ---

6. I have a butt load of laundry to do. I have like only one meeting tomorrow so I'm planning on plugging laptop in in basement tomorrow and doing laundry while working....just wish there was a bathroom down there!

1. Last of the boards done! Now begins the waiting game. For the life of me I will never understand why Michigan takes 4 weeks to give me the results of a computer-based exam. My score is calculated as soon as I submit the last answer, for goddess sake!
2. Good thing I have something to distract me for the next week... :)
3. So, I may have a second festie virgin coming with me next week. Haven't seen her in a while and offhandedly told her she should come along this year, and now she's scrambling to make arrangements!
4. If she can get out of work, my grrrl and I will drive sunday night from Detroit to Chicago to pick her up, turn around and head to the land. In a compact car. Oh, and neither of them drive...
5. The summer I got my first drivers license I went on the road driving a truck with my father. Lets see if I still have it in me!
6. I'm seriously bouncing around the house right now, jumping from one fest-related project to another, and not finishing any of them.
7. Laundry is in progress, gear being collected and arranged, last minute shopping list compiled (mostly stuff thats bad for me...), outfits being tried on, recipes being perused (dunno when I will have time to bake, but I hate showing up empty handed, ya know?) and on and on and on...
8. and getting more excited by the minute!
9. Finally splurged on some fabulousness to wear this year and might actually do a parade. Question now is: femme or plush? decisions, decisions.
10. Back is getting better by the day. Had my Meijer run cut short yesterday cuz I just couldn't walk anymore. I was stopping every five minutes to bend over and stretch. Course, I'm sure everyone in the store was enjoying my little (OK, big, round and luscious) show!
11. I may end up riding the shuttles a bit more this year, but its not going to hamper my fun!
12. I've only ridden the shuttle once before. I schlepp to my site in the zone and have some major love for whistle trail.

1) Both kids got their annual physical today, healthy!
2) Have been having nightmare after nightmare.
3) Friday I get my hair cut, last cut was in Feb! Or earlier.
4) I read somewhere that if people feel some kind of control over their tasks, their stress levels go down, am taking notes and using stickes on my Mac.
5) Will need to find a new bug spray, the one I bought from a festie did not work at all.
6) Mosquitos are rampant here in SE Michigan.
7) Will miss all the whte noise.
8) Have muscle relaxers to help with back!

2. I picked up my final papers from the courthouse... I'm now officially divorced!

3. I got a email late last week from an employer with whom I interviewed late last fall, but didn't get the job. He said the position is coming available again and was I still interested... uh, yeah! We had a phone interview on Monday, and he called today to offer me the job!!! Part-time, but a "heart" job with Fair Food Matters!

4. So I'm completely and legally SINGLE and FREE at Fest, AND I have a NEW JOB, too!!!

5. This virgin festie is really gettin' excited now... added onto the excitement I was already feeling! SO many reasons to celebrate at Fest!

6. Some on here are already on their way or at fest! Wonder how I might get on crew in a future year and how many years it will take me to work up to taking off the extra time from my kids here.

7. On top of my internal celebrations, soon to be external, I also sit with all those of you, whom I have not yet met but hope to meet at fest this year or in future years, who are struggling with your situations, and I'm sending <3 and (((hugs))) to everyone out there who needs them.

8. I'm actually about 3/4 of the way packed already, even though I've never even been to fest yet! Bab's first-timers list helped a lot, plus adding to it from comments posted here and there.

9. THANKS to nefarious for the suggestion of using a rolling garbage can to trek in my stuff! That and a large backpack should just about cover it all!

10. My tank top in line will say "42-year-old virgin".

11. My silver van is covered in bumper stickers on the back, one of which says, "Change how you see, not how you look." (I may attend the zone's "Love Your Body Naked" workshop on Wednesday at noon at the firepit). Another says, "Don't Postpone JOY!" (I'm going to a workshop here in Kalamazoo before I leave this weekend called "Inhabiting Joy"--perfect for before fest!)

12. Amy76 invited me to camp near her and any others of you who will be camping there, too! :)

1) Just finished my last work day . Off for 12 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4) Removed the back seats in the RAV. Looks like a little minivan. Lots of room.
5) On a sad note. My best friend at work was let go.. : ( No reason given. Very scary given the economy. So much for being a dedicated nurse with 22 years at the job. She got a lawyer today. Has no clue why they let her go.
6) Doing last minute chores and cage cleaning for my 6 birds. Giving them some love and attention before I leave.
7) Grateful my daughter can watch my pets for 8 days. I know they will be in good hands.
8) Still debating where to camp at Fest. So many choices ; )
9) Looking forward to meeting all the BB womyn.
10) Hoping I don't get sea sick on the Ferry. Have my ginger tablets and non drowsy dramamine..

3. This is strange for a couple reasons.
a. don't really know the guy although I see him at organizational events and read his blog on Huffington Post
b. His name is really funny (if you are my friend on FB you will see what I mean)
c. I do not really post anything inappropriate by *my* employers standards but if he is reading my status updates he could just as well be looking at my pictures etc. and that is just strange to think about.

4. I have 10 billion things to do tomorrow but I am confident I will accomplish all of my tasks swimmingly

5. I got a trophy to repurpose for the UNIFORM PARTY! its actually pretty awesome. I picked it up at the East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse. It has a lady in a swimsuit on it.

6. Sort of sad that I will be ineligible to compete for it I have always wanted a trophy!

7. Soooo not looking forward to flying on saturday night. I hope my hotel will let me have early checkin on Sunday. Trixie don't you work in that industry? How big of a pain in the ass is early check in?

8. Super small tent this year which I am worried about to be honest. It is a 4-6 person I don't remember which....it will fit my queen size airmattress and that is about it!!

My coffee addiction is returning with a vengeance, I was addicted in my years as a barista and the past couple of years I have weaned myself down to 3 times a weeek but recently I have been having a cup almost every day. I realize now there may be a problem because it is 3am where I live and I am thinking about coffee. Like I should go to bed now so I can wake up and then have coffee!!
