2008 Michigan Before 'Michigan'

So you've come to Michigan early and the Festival gates don't open until Monday at 1pm - you have a golden opportunity to explore the local area. It could be a wonderful experience!

Listed below are some of the campgrounds in the area and their approximate fees. Many holiday camps are privately owned and require reservations, but those listed are large enough, publicly owned, or friendly enough (not necessarily all three at each place!) and may be able to accommodate you on short notice. For information or reservations for any Michigan state park, call 1-800-447-2757.

We also list the names, Web sites and phone numbers of some local accommodations for the convenience of womyn who may not be able to do outdoor camping at all and need somewhere within commuting distance to the Land, or for campers who want somewhere indoors to stay before the Festival. Call for availability, updated rates, etc.
